ADM Capital has hired Sam Franklin as head of investor relations to take charge of the firm’s fundraising activity for forthcoming vehicles.
Franklin will also coordinate investor relations and co-investment activities for the fund manager’s flagship $322 million Cibus Fund, which secured $130 million in co-investments, and its $65 million VC vehicle, which took in $50 million in co-investments.
The new head of investor relations joins from Westhall Partners, where he was a senior fund analyst. “He worked closely with global institutional investors including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and family offices in their search for private market managers,” ADM co-founder Robert Appleby told Agri Investor in an email.
ADM was not able to disclose any significant deals, co-investments or exits Franklin has been involved with previously.
His immediate priorities in his new role will be to “build on ADM Capital Europe’s existing global network of relationships, particularly those who have expressed interest in sustainable food and agriculture investments,” said Appleby.
“ADM Capital Europe’s work to address critical issues that the global food value chain faces has just begun. Sam’s hire will facilitate important conversations with investors who wish to understand the rewards and risks associated with this important sector,” he added.
Franklin said of his new role in a statement: “Given the sustainable focus of the funds advised by ADM Capital, to join at this juncture is extremely exciting. I am very much looking forward to being a part of both its future and impactful contribution to the sustainable agriculture investment landscape.”
ADM Capital has approximately $2.5 billion of assets under management.
