Belize own-and-operate cropping investment manager Caribbean Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) has raised a further $2 million towards its $10 million Series A round of funding.
The aquaponics company aims to target private individuals and family offices in its Series B round.
The sovereign wealth fund has created five open-ended funds targeting $1.4bn in total across five different sectors including agriculture and timber which are open to commitments from other investors.
The New Mexico Educational Retirement Board’s Mark Canavan wants to increase the pension’s commitment to Blue Road Capital after first approving the fund in December. A previous commitment to New Zealand dairy fund Southern Pastures was cancelled.
The public pension fund will vote on the commitment on April 28 adding to a growing real return portfolio.
