Rhode Island backs Homestead Capital

The US pension fund committed capital to Homestead Capital's fourth farmland fund.

Rhode Island State Treasury committed $52 million to Homestead Capital USA Farmland Fund IV, according to their latest investment meeting materials.

Rhode Island State Treasury administers and manages investments on behalf of the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island.

Founded in 2012, Homestead Capital is a San Francisco-based firm that targets investments in farmland assets across the Mountain West, Delta, Midwest and Pacific regions of the US. Rhode Island also committed $25 million to Homestead Capital USA Farmland Fund III which was the predecessor to this fund in the series.
