Dai-ichi Life approves $50m commitment to Nuveen Global Farmland Fund

The Japanese insurer has confirmed its first-ever investment in a farmland strategy.

Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company has approved a $50 million commitment to Nuveen Global Farmland Fund. The vehicle, managed by Nuveen Natural Capital, will primarily invest in farmland and related businesses in US and Australia. It also expects to contribute to a wide-range of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
